Goals

Goals I wish to accomplish in class:

1.    I wish to become more proficient in not using past tense sentences, when possible. When I must use past tense, I want to not use ‘be’ and related verbs.

2.    I want my writing to look better in narrative and reflection style writing, for future personal projects.

3.    Possibly most importantly, I want my writing more ‘personable’, instead of a dry report or story with little to keep people interested.

How well did I succeed in meeting goals?

     1. I think I did a very good job meeting this goal. You can't tell it online, but through my drafts, I eleminated most of the "be" verbs from A Day in the Fort and worked on it in Loss of a Slithering Friend.

     2. With only three total assignments on this, I didn't get as far on this style as I hoped. However, I made great advances with my writing style in other assignments, and this can go back into the narrative and reflection styles.

     3. Success! Compare Mac Vs. PC or The Cake is a Lie to my first story, A Day in the Fort. There's a lot more character in the later stories.
